Located in retail outlets, the new iGale 3000 Selling Terminal is used for all retail functions, including selling of tickets, payment of prizes, and reporting functions. A fast thermal printer is used for printing customized tickets. A barcode reader is used for validating winning tickets, and a coupon reader is used for fast processing of manually marked coupons, giving customers the ability to easily choose their own numbers. A bright, colour, TFT, touch screen is used instead of a keyboard to improve the operator interface. This eliminates keyboard problems relating to dust, dirt and moisture, and provides a dynamic colour interface that is easily updateable and simple to use.
The hardware is designed to work in hot and humid environments, with special attention given to possible unreliable mains power.

Minimal training is required for operating the terminal. All terminal operations are designed to reduce the amount of keying required by the operator, and to make functions robust and error free. The software is written to be very modular in nature, and easily upgradeable to include new games and functions. An SQL database provides a modern and powerful method for storing transactional data.
Modern encryption methods are used for ensuring safe and secure data transactions. Also, audit tracing of tickets ensures that all data can be securely tracked from point of sale through to draw lodgement and prize payment.
